Incalls vs Outcalls and why it matters
Definition:
Incall- visiting me at my chosen work location and I host you, be that a dungeon or a more vanilla space
Outcall- me visiting you at your location whether that be a hotel, or for some disability clients, their supported accommodation/home
Each of these options have different pros and cons.
From my personal experience as a Sex Worker:
Incall pros- I have all my equipment. The scene is set. I can add in a variety of pieces of fetish gear. I have more control over all aspects of the space- for example I can set the lighting just how I enjoy it, I can burn incense, I can make more noise as the space is soundproofed, I can heat up the space to our desired temperature, I have anchor points so I can tie you up, just how I’d like you to be. I know exactly how well everything is cleaned and where everything is located. Clients can be very excited to enter a mystical space to which can help them get into the head space and relax into the power dynamics more.
Outcall pros- new spaces are captivating and exciting. I enjoy experiencing new hotels and seeing new aspects of the city which I have not yet experienced before. Sometimes the clients can be more relaxed as they have not needed to travel and find the location. I have to do less cleaning of the space when I leave (now during a time of Covid-19 every thing is medically disinfected between clients including all light switches etc). I have a smaller amount of items at hand to play with, so I have to be imaginative (which I really enjoy).
What clients have told me:
Incall pros- Walking into a place knowing that it is exactly as the Mistress would like it, the ambiance is set and it is easier for me to relax into a submissive head space. Not needing to worry about having the space neat or presentable to the dominant. No need for the client to have to supply many toys, or to make your Mistress have to carry heavy luggage to you.
Outcall pros- I can prepare mentally before the Dominatrix arrives and do not need to worry about getting to/from the appointment or being early/late.
I ran a poll on Twitter in 2019 asking the question: ‘Now I've moved to the #sydneycbd I am thinking of dropping my outcall fee as many hotels are within walking distance. Would this incentivise you to make a booking?’. The answer was a resounding yes (64% said it would incentivise them to make a booking). Since Covid-19 I have moved further from the city (still a 15 minute taxi ride) and I will be charging taxi fees to and from my location to any outcalls so it will be dependent on location going forward.
